French e-invoice structural validator

Paste a Factur-X or Chorus Pro invoice XML and check that the required structural fields are present. This is a structural, required-field check, not full XSD or Schematron conformance.

Your invoice XML

Standard
The CII XML at the heart of a Factur-X hybrid PDF.
The XML stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. For Factur-X, paste the embedded CII XML, not the PDF.

Structural check

Paste an XML to run the check.

How it works

What this checks, and what it does not

French e-invoicing reform mandates structured invoices in EN 16931 formats such as Factur-X. This tool confirms the top-level required markers are present in your CII XML so you can catch an obvious gap early.

Factur-X is CII inside a PDF

Factur-X is a hybrid PDF/A-3 carrying an embedded UN/CEFACT CII XML, the same core syntax as ZUGFeRD. Paste that embedded XML here to check its structure.

Chorus Pro adds SIRET

For the public sector via Chorus Pro, parties are identified by SIRET, carried in CII as a SpecifiedLegalOrganization identifier. The Chorus Pro option adds that marker to the checklist.

Structure, not full conformance

This checks for the presence of required fields, not values, code lists, or business rules. Use the official platform or your provider for full EN 16931 conformance before you send.

Sources

The field lists follow the official French e-invoicing standards. Rules and profiles change. Check your document against the primary sources below and the official platform.

This is a structural, required-field check offered as an example aid, not full XSD or Schematron conformance and not tax or legal advice. Rules change. Confirm any invoice against the current standard and the official platform before filing.

Issue compliant e-invoices without the guesswork

Rivane generates EN 16931 e-invoices, handles SIRET identification, and keeps the audit trail in one place, so a validation pass is a formality.
